Let me tell you, that blog post title is sure to rank high in the search engines! Lolz.
So it's been a couple months since I've posted last and guess what- I had a baby!!
Isaiah William VanKeulen was born December 22, 2017, 8lbs 13oz of chubby sweet deliciousness. I had an ELEVEN HOUR LABOR. Let that sink in...I still am. I had a wonky epidural that only took on one side, so that was fun. But honestly, it really wasn't bad, I shouldn't have even gotten the stupid thing. All I had to show for it was a dead numb chest wall and droopy eyelid (that apparently only happens once in every 12,500 or so epidurals, give or take???). And people wonder why I'm a hypochondriac.
Anyway. :)
I'm currently sitting at my coffee table and just looked over at Isaiah in his swing and he's smiling the sweetest little smile at me... I sure am glad we have him. <3 He is SUCH a good baby. He's only six weeks and has already slept one 8 hour stretch, so I'm thinking that's a good sign! I've felt pretty tired lately obviously but not depressingly so, and I've been feeling pretty solid emotionally and surprisingly energetic so I'm grateful!
I'm going to be a totally horrendous blogger and not leave you with any pictures in this post but I will very soon- promise!
I wanted to say, to whoever might be reading, that I'm working on a writing project in the form of another blog! Right now I'm working on writing content and to be honest, I'm struggling to find my voice and get into the groove of "writing". So like here I can write as things come to mind because it's my own personal blog that nobody reads but me and some family and close friends, so I don't really worry about focus or writing all that well, you know? This new blog is more curated so I'm trying to find a way to still stay authentic through it and it's proving to be a struggle. Add to that that I don't have, like, hours of time alone to focus on it, and mainly write in stolen moments or when the boys are whirring around me like little tornadoes. Like right now. Actually I think Julian is pooping. And Gabriel is in the bathroom with him and they're talking about it and it's all echoing down the hallway to where I'm sitting. Man, am I feeling inspired right now.
I'm going to sign off because Zach just got back from dance class and is in my face asking me questions like what are you writing and how do you type that fast, and I think he just asked me something about the "f" word. Gotta go!
